Key responsibilities
Internal audits — oversight
Plan and run internal audit assignments end to end: scope, audit programme, fieldwork
and reporting.
Evaluate internal controls, identify process gaps and recommend improvements.
Draft internal audit reports with observations, risk ratings and management responses
for manager review.
Statutory audits
Execute statutory audits under the Companies Act, 2013 in line with Standards on
Auditing.
Prepare and review audit working papers, lead schedules and analytical procedures.
Verify financial statements, notes to accounts and disclosures under Schedule III.
Income tax
Prepare and file income tax returns for individuals, firms, LLPs and companies.
Compute taxable income, advance tax and self-assessment tax; reconcile with Form
26AS and AIS.
Assist with tax audit reports and responses to income tax notices and assessments.
GSTandTDS compliance
Handle GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), annual returns (GSTR-9 / 9C) and ITC
reconciliation with GSTR-2B.
Oversee TDS computation, challan deposit and quarterly returns (Form 24Q, 26Q,
27Q), including corrections.
Accounts Finalisation
Finalise books of accounts in Tally and Zoho Books, including closing entries and trial
balance.
Lead vouching and verification on internal audits, selecting samples based on risk.
Requirements
Qualifications and skills
CA Inter / CMA Inter with articleship completed, or B.Com / M.Com with equivalent
experience; semi-qualified or recently qualified CAs are welcome.
3–5 years of experience in statutory audits, internal audits, income tax and GST/TDS
compliance.
Sound knowledge of Standards on Auditing, Ind AS / AS, Schedule III, CARO and the
Income Tax Act.
Working knowledge of the GST portal, TRACES and the income tax e-filing portal.
Proficiency in Tally Prime and Zoho Books; strong MS Excel skills for reconciliations and
analysis.
Experience reviewing others' work and guiding a small team.
Clear written and spoken communication in English; [regional language] is an
advantage.
