ID:\n\nJR99189 Manager, AMAIS SPOCK Applications \u0026 Data\u2011Driven Modeling\n\nOur vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.\n\nMicron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.\n\n## Role Summary\n\nThis role within Advanced Modeling \u0026 Artificial Intelligence Solutions (AMAIS) supports Technology Development (TD) by leading delivery of data\u2011driven modeling and analytics solutions.\n\nThis role focuses on applying advanced data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques to enable fact\u2011based TD decision\u2011making, accelerate yield learning, and reduce development cycle time.\n\nAligned to this role combines people leadership, technical execution, and cross\u2011functional collaboration, with accountability for consistent delivery and measurable business impact.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Lead execution of data\u2011driven modeling and analytics solutions supporting Technology Development use cases.\n * Translate complex TD problems into well\u2011scoped analytical approaches, clear success metrics, and actionable insights.\n * Drive application of statistical methods, machine learning, and large\u2011scale data analysis to identify trends, correlations, and opportunities for process and yield improvement.\n * Partner closely with TD, Process, Device, and Manufacturing teams to ensure analytics outputs are relevant, timely, and decision\u2011ready.\n * Ensure solutions are documented, repeatable, and scalable, following established governance and best\u2011known methods.\n * Review analysis quality, validate assumptions, and ensure conclusions are supported by data.\n * Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and analysts; provide technical guidance and performance feedback.\n * Participate in planning, prioritization, and execution reviews; manage scope, risks, and delivery commitments.\n * Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non\u2011technical stakeholders, including leadership.\n\n\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\n * PhD or Master\u2019s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field.\n * Experience applying data analytics, statistical modeling, or machine learning to real\u2011world engineering or manufacturing problems.\n * Demonstrated people leadership or senior technical leadership experience.\n * Strong problem\u2011solving skills with the ability to work across functions.\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n * Semiconductor Technology Development or manufacturing domain exposure.\n * Experience working with large, complex datasets (e.g., process, tool, or measurement data).\n * Familiarity with modern analytics or modeling platforms and structured problem\u2011solving approaches.\n\n\n\nSuccess Measures\n\n * Analytics and modeling outputs that are actively used in AMAIS team decision\u2011making.\n * Improved speed from data to insight, reducing analysis turnaround time.\n * Demonstrated contribution to yield learning, variation reduction, or development efficiency.\n * Increased reuse and consistency of analytical approaches across TD programs.\n * Strong team engagement, capability growth, and predictable delivery.\n\n\n\nCareer Architecture Alignment\n\n * First\u2011line manager with people and technical accountability\n * Owns execution for a defined analytics / modeling capability\n * Influences outcomes through technical credibility and collaboration\n * Accountable for business impact, not just analysis output\n\n\n\nJob Profile(s):\n\nData Scientist Manager 1\n\nRelocation level: (TBD)\n\nBefore Getting Started \nPlease review Micron\u2019s Internal Job Application Policy on your regional PeopleNow Career Opportunities page before searching and applying for jobs.
