Position Summary

The Manager, Education will be responsible for managing the education portfolio,  leading sourcing, due diligence, investment committee preparation, and portfolio management across key thematic areas. Key Responsibilities

a) Fund Strategy:

• Analyse the evolving education and ed-tech landscape in India and globally.

• Lead sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio assessments.

• Support the team in refining the funds investment thesis and focus areas.

b) Portfolio Management:

• Partner with grantee organisations on strategic and operational areas including product contextualisation, distribution strategies, monetisation, user acquisition, and outcomes measurement.
• Facilitate mentorship and ecosystem connections to help portfolio organisations strengthen their capacity and scale sustainably.

c) Donor Management:

• Support fundraising efforts and manage donor engagement, communication, and reporting.

d) Fund Management:

• Oversee fund operations, including planning, budgeting, risk management, monitoring, and impact evaluation.
• Coordinate with internal teams, partners, and vendors for smooth implementation.

e) Ecosystem Engagement:

• Build relationships with funders, experts, and ecosystem players to inform strategy, enhance sourcing pipelines, and identify emerging trends.
• Strengthen visibility and credibility for the fund and its portfolio organisations within the broader education and impact investment ecosystem.

The Ideal Candidate

You're perfect for this role if you have:

• 3-6 years of professional experience in a dynamic, high-growth environment.

• A strong passion for social impact and a deep motivation to strengthen India's education ecosystem.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities.
• The capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a small, agile team.
• Experience in education, impact investing, or entrepreneurship will be an added advantage.
