Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Manager - Environmental Health & Safety to lead and implement safety protocols in a heavy manufacturing environment. The role demands expertise in IMS, ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and auditing, along with the ability to independently plan and execute safety audits at sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies
• Conduct independent audits at manufacturing sites and ensure compliance
• Lead safety inspections, analyze findings, and implement corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with IMS, ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and relevant standards
• Maintain and update the Emergency Response Plan
• Provide safety training and enforce workplace safety protocols
• Investigate incidents, draft reports and develop preventive strategies
• Maintain safety records, monitor compliance and liaise with regulatory agencies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for continuous safety improvement
• Stay updated on industry safety regulations and implement necessary policy changes

Qualifications:

• B.E./B.Tech./Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Degree/Diploma in Environmental Safety preferred)
• 8+ years of experience in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety & Health
• Strong knowledge of IMS, ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and safety standards
• Proven experience in conducting audits and inspections independently
• Excellent leadership, communication and team management skills
• Ability to multitask, problem-solve and make sound decisions
• Proficiency in MS Office and safety-related software
