Job Description - Manager - Engineering Projects

JOB SUMMARY

  • To lead and execute & implement Green / Brown Field Bottle Washing unit projects end-to-end within budget, timeline and legal mandates within defined region, in line with PR guidelines on EHS.
  • To ensure stabilize the Returnable Glass Bottle Washing operations by ensuring the Safety and Environment & Cost & Efficiency KPIs.
  • Manage end-to-end engineering projects for bottle filling and packaging lines, including new installations, expansions, and upgrades. 
  • Implement various automation / efficiency enhancement initiatives in the Bottle Washing units Own & Sub lease within defined region.
  • Development of Recycled bottles washing facility Manual/Auto PAN India.
  • Develop and implement processes that improve production and deliver quality outputs 
  • Meet quality standards by maintaining knowledge of relevant technologies and best practices
  • Implement and Standardize engineering Practices and Infrastructure in Own and Sublease units

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Management (Bottle Washing Units, Green & Brown Field):

  • Coordinate with contractors / vendors for work progress at site, review the progress with respect to planned cost, quality and time schedule, provide support in resolving their problems.
  • Provide assistance to team for Overall Project execution.
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments and progress
  • Review work procedures for compliance with quality systems and statutory requirements to ensure adherence to commitments and achieve planned performance parameters.
  • Ensure projects comply with applicable industry standards (GMP, ISO, HACCP, FDA, etc. as applicable).
  • Enforce safety standards and safe work practices during project execution.
  • Improving and streamlining systems and infrastructure according to an organization’s needs
  • Testing prototypes and improving them

Value – Engineering:

  • Analyzing various processes / applications and recommending process modifications.
  • Implement cost effective corrective action for capacity limitations & de-bottlenecks.
  • Spare parts cost efficiency and Standardization.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and nurture relationships with internal clients/ User / Consultants/Vendors, take note of customer concerns and initiate corrective actions, play active role to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Support trial runs, performance qualification, and line acceptance.

Innovation & Development:

  • Implement innovative solutions to increase existing process efficiencies and productivity.
  • Review and approve layouts, P&IDs, equipment specifications, and utility requirements.

Training and Handover

  • Lead and handover assets start up with Qualified parameters and documentation.
  • Develop, train and educate the team.
  • Work closely with Head office and Vendors and provide feedback.
  • Work on ACAD drawing programs.

  • Engineering Vendors

PROFILE DETAILS

  • Required education: Bachelor’s in electrical/ mechanical engineering
  • Required professional experience: 8–12 years of Project Management experience, preferably in the manufacturing sector, with hands-on experience in greenfield and brownfield projects, operational requirements, and packaging machines. FMCG experience will be preferred.
