* Job Summary
Leads cross-functional problem solving and platform ad sales strategy. Operates with high autonomy to support JioStar's advertising revenue growth agenda — covering competitive dynamics, identifying revenue opportunities and solving for the AdEx market across branding, performance, TV, digital, etc.
* Key Responsibilities
* Own the annual planning (AOP) analytics cycle — translating market data, share trends and competitive signals into actionable revenue strategy inputs
* Build and maintain a robust competitive intelligence practice tracking advertiser spend, share of wallet and category-level investment patterns across broadcast, streaming and social video platforms
* Develop and institutionalize new market metrics beyond share of wallet — identifying leading indicators of revenue opportunity across advertiser categories and platform ecosystems
* Construct first-principles frameworks for evaluating media delivery, reach efficiency and platform value — to support GTM narratives and CXO-level client conversations
Operational KRAs
* Track and assess advertiser investment metrics across competing broadcast networks and digital-social video environments — synthesizing patterns into actionable intelligence for sales leadership
* Review and refine data-led GTM narratives for accuracy, strategic relevance, and presentation-readiness
* Present insights to senior leadership and drive decisions at channel, cluster, and network levels
Autonomy & Decision-Making
* High-autonomy IC role; independently prioritizes analytical workstreams, defines frameworks and drives conclusions. Seeks senior alignment only for high-impact or cross-functional decisions
Leadership & Collaboration
* Works in close coordination with Sales Cluster Heads, Product, Pricing and Revenue teams
* Mentors and upskills junior analysts on methodology and media revenue analytics
* Ensures delivery excellence and output quality across concurrent workstreams
Accountability & Outcomes
* Accountable for the quality, timeliness, and strategic impact of all analytical output
* Drives measurable influence on Sales strategy, Revenue planning, Product positioning, and AOP outcomes
* Skills & Attributes for success
* Strong first-principles thinking — ability to deconstruct complex media and advertising problems from the ground up, without relying solely on existing measurement conventions
* Deep familiarity with the digital advertising ecosystem — platform economics, auction dynamics, audience buying behaviour, digital video metrics and advertiser investment patterns
* Proficiency in market sizing and share of wallet modelling — ability to estimate, proxy and track category-level advertiser spends across platforms using available data signals
* Comfort with financial and revenue modelling — translating market intelligence into AOP inputs, revenue opportunity sizing and scenario planning
* Strong grasp of cross-screen media planning concepts — reach, frequency, cost efficiency, audience duplication and the comparative value of TV vs digital inventory
* Ability to work with large, often imperfect datasets — structuring ambiguous inputs into clean analytical frameworks and defensible conclusions
* Working knowledge of SQL, Excel/Sheets-based modelling or equivalent analytical tools; comfort picking up new data environments quickly
* Influences senior stakeholders with clarity, confidence and data — comfortable presenting to and debating with CXO-level audiences
