Job Description - Manager - Internal Communication

 


More about the role:


Burson Group India is looking for a Manager - Internal Communications, Bengaluru.  to support the internal communications, employee engagement, and employer branding programme of a major multinational client. As IC manager, your responsibilities will include supporting content development and planning employee engagement & employer branding campaigns to drive our client’s business and employee results. You will report to the client’s Senior Corporate Communications manager and be supported by a large agency-side team including strategists, planners, media buyers, designers, copywriters, and video producers.


 What you'll do:



  • The individual will aid in planning the client’s internal communication and employee engagement programme, working with in-house and agency teams to engage employees through effective storytelling, content, and activations. 

  • Ensure timely updates to external and internal communications platforms, including LinkedIn, website, Yammer and SharePoint

  • Plan, write and edit a variety of IC content ranging from social, website and intranet posts to emailers, newsletters, memos and more.

  • Manage client relationships and be the client’s key contact, counselor, and strategic thinker.

  • Liaise with the agency-side design team to produce digital graphics, presentations, campaign collaterals, emailers & newsletters, and more

  • Be able to support the senior managers and leaders in resolving client issues.

  • Produce the quarterly townhall event liaising directly with the client’s Leadership team and other relevant stakeholders. 

  • Coordinate & attend periodic coordination and planning meetings with agency and client-side resources to ensure smooth running of the IC programme

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports reviewing the performance of the internal communications programme, with support from the agency team

  • You must possess a strong familiarity with how Generative AI tools are used across communications programs, especially in planning, research, ideation, content creation, and daily operations.  

  • You will be expected to acquire working knowledge of specific WPP proprietary AI tools.


Experience that contributes to success:



  • Have 4-6 years’ experience working in the PR & communications function of a large, multinational firm

  • Be based in the required location and willing to work from our client’s office

  • Be comfortable operating LinkedIn pages and internal comms platforms such as Yammer, Mosaic and SharePoint for employee engagement and employer branding

  • Have flawless native English writing skills, and be especially strong with LinkedIn posts, emailers, newsletters, memos, and website & intranet posts

  • Be comfortable coordinating and briefing agency- and client-side teams to plan and execute IC & employee engagement campaigns

  • Have strong IC project management experience; especially employee events, engagement activities, townhalls, etc.)
