Manager Legal (Kanakia Realty)

We are looking for an experienced legal professional with strong exposure to real estate transactions, land acquisition, redevelopment, title due diligence and litigation. The role will provide legal support to business teams and work closely with senior management on transactions and legal matters.

Key Responsibilities

1. Legal Advisory & Litigation

• Provide legal advice on real estate and business matters.


• Conduct title due diligence and identify legal and regulatory risks.


• Manage and coordinate litigation, including civil, property, RERA and regulatory matters.


• Coordinate with external advocates and assist with drafting notices, pleadings, affidavits and other legal documents.

2. Transactions & Contracts

• Handle legal documentation for land acquisition, redevelopment, JV and JD transactions.


• Draft, review and negotiate Term Sheets, MOUs, AFS, ATL, Sale Deeds, Development Agreements, Conveyance and Lease documents.


• Identify legal and contractual risks and suggest practical solutions.

3. Land Acquisition & Redevelopment

• Conduct legal due diligence for land acquisition and redevelopment projects.


• Review title documents, revenue records, development rights and related property documentation.


• Support society redevelopment and SRA projects and coordinate with landowners, societies and consultants.

4. Compliance & Coordination

• Ensure compliance with RERA, stamp duty, registration, land and municipal laws.


• Coordinate with BD, Projects, Finance, advocates and external consultants.


• Maintain legal records and ensure timely completion of documentation and legal requirements.

Key Requirements

• LLB / LLM from a reputed institute.


• 8–12 years of relevant experience in real estate legal.


• Strong knowledge of property laws, title due diligence, land acquisition and redevelopment.


• Good drafting, negotiation and litigation-management skills.


• Experience working with real estate developers or diversified business groups preferred.


• Commercially oriented, solution-focused and able to work in a fast-paced environment
