Job Description - Manager, Marketing Planning & Ops

Together, our values ensure that we work together as one global team with our customers at the center of everything we do \u2013 and they push us to ensure we take care of ourselves, each other, and our communities.\n\nJob Summary:\n\nThe project \u0026 program responsibilities are focused on internal information system-specific project tasks or non-technical project completion using an internal customer perspective, both typically from initiation through delivery. \n \nOrganize daily activities based on organizational goals. \nDevelop and implement new programs that support objectives. \nMonitor projects and oversee project managers. \nEvaluate program strengths and weaknesses. \nDevelop program budgets and plans. \nMeet with stakeholders to discuss program status and goals. \nImprove strategies with the marketing team. \n \nMinimum Qualifications: \n5+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor\u2019s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.\n\nJob Description:\n\nEssential Responsibilities: \n\n * Identify issues and recommend best practices to enhance marketing effectiveness.\n * Lead functional projects and programs that drive business improvements.\n * Collaborate with teams to analyze business trends and inform marketing strategies.\n * Develop and manage marketing plans that support organizational goals.\n * Ensure the efficient operation of marketing functions through effective project management.\n\n\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n\n * 5+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor\u2019s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.\n\n\n\nAdditional Responsibilities \u0026 Preferred Qualifications:\n\nKey Responsibilities \n\n * Execute campaigns across all marketing and product channels with 100% on-time delivery and \u003e99.3% accuracy. \n\n\n\n * Maintain resource capacity utilization of over 85% across the Consumer Centralized Communication Operations team. \n\n\n\n * Collaborate with Risk \u0026 Compliance to manage and enforce incentive program controls. \n\n\n\n * Drive a 30% gain in operational efficiency through workflow and tooling improvements. \n\n\n\n * Monitor performance metrics, provide key outcome reports, and continuously improve campaign execution and operational effectiveness while ensuring regulatory compliance. \n\n\n\n * SME and escalation contact for PayPal\u2019s Incentives and Rewards systems and compliance processes. \n\n\n\n * SME for Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), Adobe Target. \n\n\n\n * Lead the global rollout and operational scaling of loyalty and rewards initiatives. \n\n\n\n * Champion omnichannel delivery strategy and campaign governance. \n\n\n\n\nSkills \u0026 Experience \n\nBreadth (Cross-Functional Expertise): \n\n * Expertise in Adobe Marketing platforms (AEP, AJO, Target). \n\n\n\n * SME in owned channels: email, push, in-app, and onsite communication. \n\n\n\n * Familiarity with Web and App Instrumentation for customer behavior tracking. \n\n\n\n * Strong operational data analysis skills to drive campaign and platform optimization. \n\n\n\n * Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills across multiple parallel workstreams. \n\n\n\n * Ability to identify channel opportunities with competence, clarity, and efficiency. \n\n\n\n * Business-savvy problem solver with end-to-end troubleshooting capabilities. \n\n\n\n\nDepth (Specialized Capabilities): \n\n * Proven experience in training, onboarding, and capability development for marketing teams. \n\n\n\n * Team leadership and people management experience preferred. \n\n\n\n * Deep technical knowledge of proprietary PayPal platforms such as: \n\n\n\n * OMT, PFS, LEAP, Rewards Point (Incentives) \n\n\n\n * Picasso, RPS, Dropzone, ELMO, Personalization Studio \n\n\n\n * Instrumentation, FPTI events, CAL logs \n\n\n\n * Strong understanding of CRM operations, including Adobe product suite \n\n\n\n * Deep experience in media \u0026 channel operations governance, including customer contact strategy and regulatory controls. \n\n\n\n * Expertise in Web \u0026 Data Operations, including instrumentation setup, decisioning frameworks, and performance insights. \n\n\n\n * Strong stakeholder management, project coordination, and cross-functional alignment skills. \n\n\n\n\nSubsidiary:\n\nPayPal\n\nTravel Percent:\n\n0\n\nPayPal does not charge candidates any fees for courses, applications, resume reviews, interviews, background checks, or onboarding.
