Competency Requirements

Technical/Function

• Component development of Driver Information Systems / Instrument clusters, Telematics unit (mechanical and electronic/digital – LCD/TFT/ Stepper).


• Knowledge of complete life cycle of development of Instrument clusters and Fuel level sensors used in 2Wh and automotive domain and its interface with engine/vehicle components like vehicle sensors, switches, ignition and regulation systems.


• Understanding of EMC/EMI impacts on components / system.


• Understanding of CAN standards.


• Electronic component sourcing and pricing.


• Knowledge of domestic / global trends in relevant technology, regulations and develop long term road maps and appropriate work plan


• Benchmarking and generation of ideas for better performance, quality, cost, weight.


• Knowledge and practice of DFMEA, PFMEA.


• Cost estimation and negotiation, settlement for part and tooling / fixture cost and supply chain management, PPAP, Supplier Audits, production ramp up.


• Knowledge of electronic components and its pricing


• Knowledge of quality systems, project management for component development, PPAP.


• Knowledge of testing of components, Homologation- AIS- ECE testing, RF certifications.


• Knowledge of Bluetooth connectivity, wifi, ethernet connectivity, phone APP connectivity


• Knowledge of ESIM- LTE data connectivity, cloud communication, GNSS.
