Job Description - Manager - Ocean Import Pricing - Freight Forwarding

Description
  • Develop competitive ocean import pricing strategies aligned with business and profitability targets.
  • Negotiate rates and secure competitive contracts with shipping lines, co-loaders, and overseas agents.
  • Optimize carrier mix, procurement costs, and buy-sell margins.
  • Monitor freight market trends, competitor pricing, and capacity availability.
  • Ensure timely and accurate quotations, rate updates, and pricing approvals.
  • Partner with Sales and Operations teams to support new business and customer retention.
  • Track quotation conversion, pricing performance, and profitability; drive corrective actions.
  • Ensure pricing governance, rate database accuracy, and adherence to approval matrices.
  • Lead the pricing team to ensure turnaround time, accuracy, and service quality.
