Recognizes and evaluate sales, promotional campaigns, and other opportunities to secure reduced prices. Assesses supplier\u0027s products to ensure that they comply with specifications and meet the organization\u0027s quality standards.\n\n## This role in summary\n\nResponsible for procurement of Supply Chain\n\n## Your responsibilities will include\n\nManage the procurement objectives for the supply chain category including warehousing, imports (ocean freight), and transportation. \n\nManage end-to-end ocean freight process, Warehousing and transportation including vendor selection, route planning, and transportation cost management.\n\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with shipping lines, ocean carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other third-party logistics providers.\n\nKnowledge of handling of import/export shipments, including documentation, duty calculations, and customs clearance.\n\nWork closely with the internal stakeholders on meeting their requirement within the stipulated timelines\n\nResponsible for commercial negotiations, agreement, contract letters, job orders \u0026 SAP generated PO\u0027s\n\nBe part of the core team to drive efficiency improvement initiatives including identifying areas for process optimization, streamlining workflows, leveraging technology and automation, and enhancing efficiency and effectiveness in procurement operations\n\nMonitor vendor performance and take corrective actions when necessary to ensure optimal service levels.\n\nKey Deliverables \n\nEnsure cost effectiveness for the managed categories \n\nAnalysis on spend and vendor data to identify cost saving opportunities \n\nEnsure timely execution and renewal of service contract and other compliance requirements \n\nAdherence to Indirect policy and SOA (Schedule of Authority).\n\nEnd to end responsibility of Supply chain purchase\n\n## Minimum requirements\n\nExperience - 9+ Years in Supply chain (Ocean Freight)\n\nEducation Qualitfication - B.Tech \n\nPreferred - MBA, Certification - CPP/ CSCP/CPSM\n\n## Preferred skills and experiences\n\nFUNCTIONAL :\n\nContracting \u0026 Negotiations\n\nStakeholder Management\n\nGood network and sound knowledge of Pan India warehouse, primary and secondary freight procurement \n\nHands on experience of SAP MM module and Procure to Pay system\n\nAbility to manage complex data analysis\n\nBEHAVIOURAL\n\nIntegrity \n\nCommunication \n\nLeadership\n\nCollaboration\n\nTeamwork\n\nSpirit of Winning\n\nConnect with us and learn more about Whirlpool Corporation\n\nSee what it\u0027s like to work at Whirlpool by visiting Whirlpool Careers.
