Job Description - Manager - PVT, COE TRIMS

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Commodity: B&T - Trims / Polymer

1. Will be responsible for resolving field concerns related to Trims / Polymer.
2. Will be responsible for resolving internal concerns related to Trims / Polymer.
3. Data analysis
4. Daily monitoring of field complaints & effectivity of actions
5. Reduction in field concerns by correct root cause analysis & speedy implementation of corrective measure to meet organisation targets
6. Genearte Field concern MIS & publish report, PPT for higher management
7. Carry out joint investigations in field to arrive at root cause
8. Take appropriate actions in association with manufacturing, supplier quality & design & for closure of field & internal concerns
9. Speedy & time bound closure of emerging concerns & immobilisation concerns

Education Qualification

Bachelor of Engineering from a Reputed Institiute

General Experience

BE - 10 - 12 years of experience in automotive polymer and trim development/manufacturing.
• Experience with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, or automotive component manufacturers.
• Experience in injection molding and plastic component development.

Critical Experience

Competencies	The Manager – Polymer & Interior Trims is responsible for the quality, and manufacturing support of plastic and polymer-based interior and exterior trim components for automotive vehicles. The role involves leading cross-functional teams, coordinating with suppliers, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements, and delivering projects within cost, quality, and timeline targets. Polymer & Materials Knowledge : PP, ABS, PC-ABS, PA, POM, TPO, TPU and engineering plastics, Material selection and validation, Surface finishes, textures, painting and coating technologies. Design Tools : CATIA V5/V6, Siemens NX, Creo, AutoCAD, GD&T interpretation Quality & Automotive Standards : IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, ISO 9001 Manufacturing Processes : Injection Molding, Gas Injection Molding, Blow Molding, Thermoforming, Ultrasonic Welding, Hot Plate Welding, Assembly Processes Self Motivated Leading Cross Functional Team (CFT) Collaborative, Assertive.
