## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThis position involves creating and implementing sourcing strategy for VG in India. This includes development of new parts, resourcing existing parts to achieve material cost, managing material inflation / deflation \u0026 supporting materials team to meet production and inventory control.\n\n\u2022 Develop and deploy regional Category strategy along with Global category leaders for assigned commodities to deliver YOY cost reduction. \n\u2022 Identify supplier to meet the category requirements in terms of quality, cost, delivery and inventory control (including Kanban, VMI, consignment inventory programs). \n\u2022 Monitor and track the commodity trends and should be able to manage the pricing of products in the event of commodity fluctuations. \n\u2022 Develop detailed elemental cost sheets for each part in the related commodity. \n\u2022 Develop strong Supplier - Eaton relationship with a partnership concept. \n\u2022 Responsible for onsite assessment of suppliers, support strategic suppliers to improve their score cards, supplier evaluation, capability assessment \u0026 risk management. \n\u2022 Supplier capacity mapping and develop supply base to meet fluctuating production volumes. \n\u2022 Negotiate commercial agreements for total cost of ownership for each product \n\u2022 Analyze spend of assigned commodity and identify cost out opportunities. \n\u2022 Initiate, lead cost reduction projects to drive cost outs as per profit plan. \n\u2022 Drive VA/VE with the support of engineering for material cost reductions. \n\u2022 Co-Own the Project Monitoring with the SDE till the time of stabilization of the new part and complete handover to Materials. \n\u2022 Work along with SDE for capacity improvement and cost reduction, Including identifying new mfg technologies. \n\u2022 Implementation and adherence to the Eaton Business System related to SCM Function. \n\u2022 Demonstrate very high level of Integrity and Drive compliance to the Eaton Code of Ethics and hold suppliers accountable for ethical conduct in all the transactions. \n\u2022 Responsible for procurement excellence and supplier performance mgt. \n\u2022 Adherence to regulatory requirements and governance. \n\u2022 Develop and maintain a high performance culture focused on continuous improvement and change\n\n## Qualifications:\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s in mechanical / production / Automobile Engineering \n\u2022 12 to 15 years of experience in sourcing, procurement in engineering company preferably in Auto Component \n\u2022 3-4 year of hands-on experience on product costing, formulating commercial contracts\n\n## Skills:\n\n\u2022 Through understanding of manufacturing processes such as Castings Ferrous \u2013 Non Ferrous, Forgings, CNC machining, machined parts , electrical parts \n\u2022 Excellent in supplier negotiations. \n\u2022 Knowledge of quality systems and project management. \n\u2022 Knowledge on Vendor development /Quality check methodology \n\u2022 Excellent communication skills in English (written \u0026 verbal) \n\u2022 Relationship with suppliers as well as customers \u2013 Internal and External \n\u2022 Cross Functions Team Working Skills due to Matrix Organization reporting. \n\u2022 Collaborative working style \n\u2022 Analytical skills\n
