Manager - Strategic Planning & Insights, Ad Sales
Location: Gurugram| Function: Sales Support | Reports to: AVP - Strategic Planning & Insights, Ad Sales
Purpose: This role is responsible for supporting the sales team for the respective channels and plays a key role in enabling the sales team by analyzing data and highlighting the way to achieve their objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Track performance vs targets and recommend corrective actions
- Own and drive revenue targets for assigned channels
- Partner with Sales leadership to align strategy with revenue goals
- Plan and monitor revenue delivery across key tentpole events/shows on respective channels
- Support pricing, inventory strategy, and advertiser alignment for tentpoles
- Work closely with Programming, Sales, and internal teams
- Develop strong, insight-led sales narratives backed by robust data and viewership analytics
- Translate audience, content, and market insights into compelling client stories
- Enhance quality, structure, and visual design of client presentations for greater persuasion and impact
- Build customized narratives for key advertisers and categories
- Strengthen sales decision-making through robust MIS and reporting frameworks
- Introduce and institutionalize regular performance and forecasting reports
- Ensure timely, accurate, and actionable insights for Sales teams
- Analyze client-wise and category-wise coverage across the year
- Identify white spaces and growth opportunities to improve channel share
- Support Sales teams with competitive benchmarking and coverage insights
- Drive adoption of PRS format for deal approvals and documentation
- Partner closely with Sales during deal structuring and negotiations
- Ensure strategic alignment, pricing discipline, and compliance in deal-making
