Job Overview

Key Accountabilities

• Cross-functional Programme Management: Own the day-to-day delivery of strategically important cross-functional projects – particularly those spanning Product, Editorial, Marketing and commercial teams. Track progress, follow up on actions, flag risks early, and ensure workstreams stay on time and on brief. Serve as a reliable point of coordination that keeps complex initiatives moving without requiring constant senior intervention.

• Executive & Board Narrative: Lead the preparation of high-quality materials for the Business Head, Business Head’s leadership team, and senior stakeholders – including QBR packs, AOP presentations, and strategic updates. Synthesise performance data, strategic context, and forward-looking narratives into clear, well-structured decks that equip leadership to communicate with confidence to the Board, CEO, and investors.

• Market Intelligence & Strategic Context: Conduct ongoing tracking of the competitive landscape, industry trends, and emerging business models relevant to digital sports media. Distil external signals into crisp, actionable summaries that feed into strategy discussions – bringing the outside-in perspective that prevents the business from operating in a vacuum.

• Business Strategy & Direction: Support the Business in developing and refining Cricinfo’s business strategy. Help frame the key strategic questions facing the business, conduct research and analysis to inform strategic choices, and contribute to turning strategic direction into a sequenced, executable plan with clear owners, milestones, and decision points.

• Strategic Initiatives & New Opportunities: Support the identification and evaluation of new revenue lines and business opportunities for Cricinfo – spanning new products, partnership models, content formats, and adjacencies. Own the analytical work underpinning business cases: market sizing, financial modelling, competitive benchmarking, and structured recommendation-building.

• P&L Ownership & Financial Planning: Support the P&L management process across Cricinfo’s business lines – building and maintaining financial models, tracking performance against plan, and preparing quarterly forecasts and scenario analyses. Help surface a clear picture of where value is being created or at risk, and feed this into planning and prioritisation decisions.

Key Performance Indicators

• Strategic initiatives progressed:  On-time delivery and cross-functional alignment scores for strategic programmes.

• Quality and timeliness of the annual operating plan; AOP delivered with full P&L view and scenario coverage.

• Leadership team satisfaction with quality of board, CEO, and investor materials.

Qualifications & Experience

• At least 4 years of experience in, business, corporate strategy, or strategy & operations roles.

• Demonstrated ability to build and manage financial models, and scenario analyses; comfortable translating numbers into strategic implications.

• Experience preparing board- and C-suite-level materials; able to craft a compelling narrative from complex data and competing priorities.

• Experience evaluating strategic initiatives—new revenue models, partnerships - from initial scan through to business case and recommendation.

• Familiarity with cricket is important; genuine curiosity about the industry is essential.

• Strong and proven academic credentials.
