We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Manager – Taxation to oversee and manage the company’s tax compliance, planning, and reporting functions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of both direct and indirect taxation, including Income Tax, GST, TDS, and international tax regulations. This role demands excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills, along with the ability to provide strategic tax insights that support business decisions and ensure adherence to all statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Tax Compliance & Filings:
  Ensure timely and accurate filing of all direct and indirect tax returns, including Income Tax, GST, TDS, and advance tax payments.
  Maintain proper documentation and reconciliation for all tax-related transactions and audits.
• Tax Planning & Advisory:
  Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
  Provide advisory support on tax implications for business transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and cross-border operations.
• Audit & Assessment Management:
  Handle tax assessments, audits, and inquiries from tax authorities.
  Prepare and submit responses, liaise with consultants and legal advisors, and represent the company before tax authorities when required.
• Regulatory & Compliance Updates:
  Stay updated on changes in tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory frameworks.
  Assess the impact of new tax legislation and communicate relevant updates to management and cross-functional teams.
• Internal Controls & Reporting:
  Strengthen internal controls over tax processes, ensure accurate tax provisioning, and reconcile tax accounts periodically.
  Prepare periodic tax reports for management, highlighting risks, exposures, and compliance status.
• Coordination with Stakeholders:
  Collaborate closely with finance, legal, and business teams to ensure alignment between operational decisions and tax compliance.
  Manage relationships with external auditors, consultants, and government authorities effectively.

Skills & Competencies:

• Technical Expertise:
  In-depth knowledge of Income Tax, GST, TDS, Transfer Pricing, and international tax concepts.
  Proficiency in handling tax computation, audits, and compliance software (Tally, SAP, or similar ERP systems).
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills:
  Ability to analyze complex financial data, interpret tax laws, and provide practical solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
  Strong written and verbal communication abilities for interacting with internal teams, auditors, and tax authorities.
  Capable of presenting complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner to non-financial stakeholders.
• Leadership & Team Management:
  Experience in mentoring junior team members, reviewing work, and ensuring accuracy and consistency in deliverables.
  Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.

Qualifications:

• Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience: 3–7 years of relevant experience in taxation (corporate, indirect, or international).
• Preferred Background: Experience in a reputed accounting firm or a large corporate setup. Exposure to cross-border taxation and compliance will be an advantage.
