Manager - Technology.RBG-Wealth Management Services

• The Manager- Retail Wealth Technology will have a range of responsibilities from shaping and implementing wealth management products to ensuring that we stay on the leading edge of technology. They will be expected to contribute across the frill technology stack, from database and DevOps infrastructure that supports continuous deployment, back end development such as integration, MQ setup, Middleware integration, external integration such as Bloomberg, All Funds, etc. As a Software Engineer they will work in a cross-functional team with the:
• Business analyst, Designers and engineers to co-develop the wealth platforms
• Having a basic understanding of Wealth Management platform
• Coordinate between onshore and offshore and vendor of development resources to deliver the enhancements, projects on time with good quality
• Responsible for the maintenance and integration with other systems in WM area.
• Would be responsible to support internal business users
• Software configuration management and version control.

Key Result Areas

• Work in a cross-functional to deliver Wealth management products together with product and design
• Use Agile engineering practices and various software and web development technologies to rapidly develop creative and efficient solutions that enhance the client customer experience
• Ensure technical documentation and review of deliverables is completed by meeting the project milestones
• Ensure day-to-day BAU systems are stable and ensure maximum system availability
• Support of BAU activities and involve any DR activities
• Ensure security patches are applied in the system on a periodic basis and track the progress till closure
• Follow best practice engineering processes, practices and Agile behavior
• Effective communication and relationship with all stakeholders
• Coordinate with Tech Dubai and Tech Bangalore.
• Responsible for the development in WM area
• Software configuration management and version control
• Immediate attention to critical incidents and provide a quick work around solution
• Incident management - raise incidents and track till closure with RCA
• Responsible for software maintenance of WM systems: Investment trading system and customer statement generation
• Hands on development and configuration experience on FinIQ is an added advantage

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Excellent programming skills in at least one web based programming languages such as Java Spring. J2EE, Spring boot, Spring batch, .NET
• Experience and working knowledge of HTML, XML, and a frontend Javascript framework
• Database working knowledge on SQL, Oracle
• Working experience with Web-sphere, IIS
• Real passion for development and a demonstrated appetite for continual learning
• Knowledge of pair programming, continuous integration arid test-driven development
• At least 4-6 years of software development experience with experience working in Agile
• Working knowledge of DevOps
• Experience with at least one unit testing framework, such as Junit
• Working experience on middleware technologies such as APIs, working knowledge in MQ setup, EOD/SOD batch setup

• Shape and implement wealth management products, staying at the forefront of technological advancements.
• Contribute to the full technology stack, including database management, DevOps infrastructure for continuous deployment, and backend development such as integration and middleware setup.
• Coordinate with onshore and offshore development resources to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of projects and enhancements.
• Maintain and integrate systems within the wealth management area, ensuring seamless functionality.
• Support internal business users and address their technological needs and queries.
• Manage software configuration and version control, ensuring efficient and organized development processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies, proposing innovative ideas for improvement.
• Mentor and guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar managerial role, with a strong background in software development.
• Proven experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, and analysts.
• Hands-on experience with database management, DevOps practices, and backend development.
• Knowledge of wealth management platforms and an understanding of the financial industry is preferred.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in relevant programming languages and technologies used in wealth management systems.
