Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead structural engineering activities for modular plant designs in thermal and water treatment applications, including preassembled skids, pipe racks, platforms, and modules.
• Apply advanced structural analysis and design techniques using STAAD Pro and related tools to optimize material use and minimize cost.
• Collaborate closely with piping teams to ensure structural designs are seamlessly integrated into overall plant and skid configurations.
• Develop and implement standardized modular pipe rack designs for consistent integration into engineering workflows, reducing on-site fabrication needs.
• Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies to align structural designs with plant layouts, both within internal design centers and in coordination with clients.
• Perform structural load analysis for wind, seismic, and snow conditions, providing accurate load data for foundation design.
• Conduct comprehensive rigging and lifting studies to support the safe handling of large, preassembled structures.
• Execute transportation feasibility studies for road and sea transit of modular skids and structural assemblies.
• Assist application engineering and proposal teams during front-end engineering design (FEED) stages, including FEL-2 and FEL-3, by providing BOQs and preliminary design inputs.
• Oversee drafting teams to ensure accurate and detailed manufacturing drawings derived from structural calculations.
• Design anchor bolts and foundation supports for pipe racks, heavy equipment, and modular structures.
• Conduct site visits as necessary for inspection, verification of structural installation, and troubleshooting.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Strong working knowledge of American structural design and construction codes such as AISC, ASCE, AWS D1.1, and ASTM/ASME material standards.
• Familiarity with European codes (e.g., EN1090) is a plus.
• Proficient in applying IBC, UBC, and ASCE 7 for load estimation (wind, seismic).
• Understanding of Progressive Design-Build methodologies and project lifecycle deliverables for both pre- and post-contract phases.
• Experience with FEL-2 / FEL-3 stages in generating early-phase engineering outputs and estimates.
• Hands-on expertise in STAAD Pro, Tekla Structures, AutoCAD 2D, Revit, and Autodesk BIM360.
• Strong communication skills suitable for supporting global project teams.
• Experience with ERP platforms like SAP is advantageous.
