This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Manufacturing & Industrial Operations Subject Matter Expert based in India.
This role offers an opportunity to apply deep industrial and manufacturing expertise to a cutting-edge AI benchmarking initiative focused on real-world production and supply chain environments. You will contribute to building and validating high-quality scenarios that reflect the complexity of modern manufacturing systems, from procurement and production to logistics and inventory control. The work spans operational, engineering, and process optimization challenges across diverse industrial settings in India. You will help ensure AI systems can accurately interpret and respond to real manufacturing workflows and decision-making processes. Operating in a highly analytical and impact-driven environment, you will collaborate with global experts to improve the realism and reliability of AI models. Your expertise will directly influence how AI understands industrial operations at scale.
Accountabilities:
- Design realistic manufacturing and industrial operations scenarios in Tamil or English based on Indian contexts, including production workflows, procurement coordination, quality control, maintenance, warehouse operations, and logistics processes.
- Adapt structured evaluation rubrics to assess operational problem-solving, engineering reasoning, production planning, and inventory management tasks.
- Review AI-generated and human-generated outputs for factual accuracy, operational efficiency, safety compliance, and industrial realism.
- Contribute to the creation of “gold standard” reference solutions aligned with best practices in manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain operations.
- Ensure scenarios reflect real-world industrial workflows, safety standards, and production environments within Indian manufacturing ecosystems.
Requirements:
- Native-level proficiency in Tamil with strong professional proficiency in English.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial operations, production management, engineering, procurement, or supply chain roles.
- Background in areas such as industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, production supervision, procurement, inventory control, logistics coordination, or warehouse operations.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, operational safety standards, production systems, and supply chain workflows.
- Ability to translate hands-on industrial experience into structured, analytical, and evaluative content.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to assess operational scenarios objectively.
