Role Overview :

Wadhwani Skilling operates GenieAI, a cutting-edge digital platform that is designed to skill vulnerable learners and place them into in-demand jobs. The GenieAI platform leveraging high-quality digital content, GenAI Copilots, human services, and analytics in order to support learners across each stage in the career journey: Career Advisory, Skilling, Placement, and Progression.

We are seeking a strong candidate for the role of Senior Manager, Market Strategy to drive Skilling content partnerships with third parties under our Open Platform Initiative. Under our Open Platform Initiative, we will engage in content partnerships with selected third parties who have digital interactive content that can be ingested into GenieAI – either “as is” or with modifications -- so that their course learners can take full advantage of our GenAI Copilots (My Tutor for learners and My Mentor for faculty) and our human services (such as forums, expert connects, streaming masterclasses, and help desk).

This Open Platform initiative has already garnered significant interest from government, corporate, and NGO partners, and we are looking for a strategic leader who will be responsible for driving and sustaining partnerships at scale. Our initial focus geographies for Open Platform strategic partnerships are India, Brazil, and Mexico, with additional countries to be added in the future.

The Senior Manager, Market Strategy will report into the Global Chief Product Officer for Skilling and Micro-entrepreneurship and will work closely with the VP of Content Services and Strategy as well as with our product and go-to-market teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a strategic roadmap for Skilling content partnerships in consultation with Foundation leadership.
  • Play a lead role in establishing Skilling content partnerships with third parties by using business development best practices and pipeline management tools.
  • Liaise closely with the VP of Content Services and Strategy, as well as our product and go-to-market teams, to ensure successful partnership development and implementation.

Skills & Experience:

  • Sharp analytical skills and the proven ability to develop and refine a strategic partnership roadmap.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in developing successful EdTech content partnerships, preferably in higher education and/or adult learning.
  • Sufficient comfort in relevant functional areas (e.g., Learning Management Systems, instructional design, content, assessment) in order to drive discussions with partners and liaison internally.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools to manage and report on business development efforts.
  • Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • A genuine passion for Skilling, with a sense of urgency for achieving change.
