Job Description - Marketing & Sales Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results -driven Marketing & Sales Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strong customer relationships, promoting technical products and solutions, and achieving sales targets. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and sales acumen to understand customer requirements and provide effective engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Identify and develop new customers, markets, and business opportunities.
  • Generate leads through networking, industry contacts, referrals, and market research.
  • Achieve sales targets and contribute to business growth initiatives.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline and regularly update sales forecasts.

Customer Engagement

  • Conduct customer meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain long -term relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Provide timely responses to customer inquiries and technical queries.

Proposal & Quotation Management

  • Prepare technical and commercial quotations.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms with customers.
  • Follow up on quotations and convert opportunities into successful orders.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate proposal submissions.

Technical Support & Coordination

  • Work closely with production, design, operations, and project teams to ensure smooth order execution.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to customers throughout the sales cycle.
  • Assist customers with product selection and application requirements.
  • Coordinate after -sales support and ensure customer satisfaction.

Market Analysis & Reporting

  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and competitor activities.
  • Monitor industry developments and customer requirements.
  • Prepare sales reports, MIS reports, business development reports, and market intelligence reports.
  • Maintain accurate customer and sales records.

Site Visits & Product Demonstrations

  • Visit customer sites for meetings, inspections, and technical discussions.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations when required.
  • Travel to customer locations for business development activities and relationship management.

Required Skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
  • Sound technical knowledge of engineering products and industrial solutions.
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) skills.
  • Sales planning and business development capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem -solving skills.
  • Good interpersonal and team collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Experience in Manufacturing, Fabrication, Engineering Products, or Industrial Sales.
  • Proven track record in technical sales and business development.
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Strong customer -focused approach with relationship -building skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for client meetings and business development activities.

Educational Qualifications

  • BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Additional certifications in Sales, Marketing, Business Development, or Technical Sales will be an added advantage.
