Job Description - Materials & Corrosion Engineer - EPC Projects (Saudi Arabia)

Eram Talent is looking for a talented and experienced Materials & Corrosion Engineer to join our team in Saudi Arabia. This role is particularly focused on Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects within the oil and gas sector. As a Materials & Corrosion Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the selection and use of the appropriate materials while developing effective corrosion prevention strategies throughout the lifecycle of EPC projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and select materials for various applications in EPC projects.
  • Develop and implement corrosion management plans and protocols.
  • Conduct detailed corrosion assessments and material inspections.
  • Specify and analyze coating systems and cathodic protection methods.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure material specifications meet project requirements.
  • Prepare and review technical documents, reports, and project specifications.
  • Participate in project risk assessments related to materials and corrosion.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and regulations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in materials and corrosion engineering, preferably in EPC projects.
  • Strong understanding of corrosion mechanisms and prevention methods.
  • Experience with material selection criteria and testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations governing materials and corrosion.
  • NACE certification is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to travel within Saudi Arabia for project site visits.
