Matillion Developer

Description:

We are looking for an experienced Matillion Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Matillion Data Productivity Cloud, integrated with Python and AWS cloud services. You'll work closely with data engineering, analytics, and product teams to deliver reliable, well-architected data pipelines that power our SaaS platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines in Matillion (Matillion Data Productivity Cloud) and Snowflake.
  
• Build custom transformation logic and orchestration jobs using Matillion components, Python scripts, and Matillion's scripting/API capabilities
  
• Integrate Matillion pipelines with AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Glue, IAM, and SNS/SQS
  
• Develop and maintain Python-based utilities, custom connectors, and automation scripts to extend Matillion's native functionality
  
• Optimize pipeline performance, cost, and reliability across large-scale data volumes
  
• Implement CI/CD practices for Matillion jobs (version control, automated testing, deployment pipelines)
  
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline failures and performance bottlenecks
  
• Ensure data quality, validation, and governance standards are met across pipelines
  
• Collaborate with data architects, analytics engineers, and product teams to translate business requirements into technical data solutions
  
• Maintain documentation for data flows, pipeline architecture, and operational runbooks
  
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
  

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience building ETL/ELT pipelines with Matillion
  
• Strong proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and custom transformations
  
• Solid working knowledge of AWS services (S3, Lambda, Glue, Redshift/RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, Step Functions)
  
• Experience with SQL and relational/cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, or similar)
  
• Understanding of ETL/ELT design patterns, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts
  
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
  
• Familiarity with orchestration and scheduling tools (Airflow, Matillion Scheduler, or similar)
  
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills for complex data pipeline issues
