Mechanical/ Civil - Senior Engineer

• Perform structural analysis and design of GIS support structures
  using STAAD.Pro.
  
• Develop accurate 3D structural models in Tekla Structures based on engineering requirements and design inputs.
  
•  Analyze GIS support
  structures for applicable dead loads, equipment loads, wind loads,
  seismic loads, operational loads, and other relevant load
  cases/combinations.
  
• Determine and provide support reactions / foundation loading required for foundation design.
  
• Prepare structural drawings, fabrication/detailing drawings, GA
  drawings, and other required deliverables.
  
• Generate Bill of Materials (BOM) and material take-offs
  from the structural model.
  
• Coordinate with electrical, civil, foundation, and other
  engineering teams to ensure proper integration of GIS equipment and
  support structures.
  
• Review engineering inputs, equipment layouts, vendor drawings, and
  loading data for structural design.
  
• Check structural models and drawings for accuracy,
  constructability, and compliance with applicable codes and project
  specifications.
  
•  Provide technical support
  for GIS projects and resolve structural modelling/design-related issues.
  
• Develop and maintain standard modelling, analysis, and detailing
  practices to strengthen the organization's in-house structural design
  capability.
  
• ​Support
  preparation/review of design calculations, technical documentation, and project
  deliverables.
  

Requirements

• Experience:   5 to 10 Years in the field of Design
  Engineering
  
• Qualification: BE / B.Tech. (Mechanical/Civil Engineering)
  
• Skills :
  

• Relevant experience in structural
  analysis and design of industrial structures, electrical substation/GIS
  structures, equipment support structures, or similar steel structures.
  
• Strong hands-on experience with
  STAAD.Pro for structural analysis and design.
  
• Strong hands-on experience with Tekla
  Structures for 3D modelling, detailing, drawings, and BOM generation.
  
• Good understanding of structural steel
  design, connections, load calculation, load combinations, and foundation
  reactions.
  
• Knowledge of relevant IS/IEC and other
  applicable structural design codes and standards.
  
• Ability to interpret GA drawings,
  equipment layouts, vendor drawings, and engineering specifications.
  
• Good understanding of GIS equipment and
  associated support structures will be an added advantage.
  
• Ability to independently handle
  structural analysis, modelling, drawings, and BOM preparation.
