Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
About us: Barak and Brazos Engineering Pvt Ltd prides itself on providing Premium
Engineering Services to clients across the US and Europe, setting the benchmark for
excellence. Join our team and become recognized as a Global Engineer, where your skills
are appreciated, and your opinions respected. Discover the difference between working for a
company dedicated to nurturing a positive and inclusive workplace.
About the role: You will be part of a core mechanical design team that builds complex
industrial machines and automation systems from scratch. If you know how to turn real-world
problems into precise mechanical solutions using design principles, manufacturing knowledge,
and solid judgment, this is your kind of work. Your job is to own mechanical design not just
the CAD model, but the thinking behind it, the math that proves it, the drawings that drive it,
and the on-ground reality that tests it. Execution matters as much as creativity.
You are expected to:
• Design complex mechanical systems including mechanisms and custom automation
equipment.
• Execute component and system-level design using sound engineering principles and
design calculations.
• Create concepts, validate with quick calculations or hand sketches, and iterate fast.
• Select and integrate actuators, bearings, gears, linkages, cams, sensors, and other
mechanical elements.
• Develop and validate design calculations loads, stress, fits, tolerances, and thermal if
needed.
• Continuously improve designs for manufacturability, cost, and performance.
• Review and implement DFM/DFA to simplify manufacturing and assembly.
• Apply GD&T, welding symbols, and tolerance standards to all designs.
• Work hands-on with sheet metal, weldment, and machined components.
Requirements
You will be the Right Fit if you have:
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field
• 4 to 6 years of hands-on design experience in one or more of the following: Custom
machinery, Industrial automation, Heavy equipment.
• Strong command of mechanical fundamentals, including mechanisms, strength of
materials, and machine elements.
• Ability to design around sensors, motors, and actuators with basic understanding of
controls.
• Proficiency in at least one major 3D CAD tool (SolidWorks, Inventor, Solid Edge, etc.).
• Confidence in doing first-principles calculations and not just relying on simulation.
• Practical knowledge of GD&T, welding symbols, fits & tolerances, surface finishes.
• Ability to design for manufacturability across machining, welding, sheet metal, and
assembly
Benefits
What we offer:
• Competitive Salary-Higher than market standards.
• Flexible work time and leave policies.
• Health Insurance for you and your loved ones.
