Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop components and assemblies using CATIA V5.
• Perform functional analysis and feasibility studies for design validation.
• Work on Injection Moulding and Casting components – from concept to production release.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for mechanical parts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, suppliers) to ensure design-to-manufacturing feasibility.
• Conduct tolerance analysis, DFMEA/ PFMEA, and design reviews.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, best practices, and customer requirements.
• Support prototype development, testing, and design modifications.

Required Skills & Experience

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 4–5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design and development.
• Strong expertise in CATIA V5 (Part Design, Assembly, Drafting, Generative Shape Design).
• Experience with Injection Moulding and Casting design principles.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes (machining, stamping, plastic, die-casting).
• Good understanding of functional & structural analysis (static, fatigue preferred).
• Familiarity with GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and industry design standards.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

Nice-to-Have

• Exposure to automotive or aerospace components.
• Knowledge of PLM systems (ENOVIA, Teamcenter, or similar).
• Basic understanding of simulation tools (FEA).
