Mechanical Design Engineer

The Role: Mechanical Engineer

• Design and develop mechanical systems: Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create detailed design drawings and models for mechanical components and systems.
  


• Develop prototypes: Create and test prototypes of mechanical components and systems to ensure they meet technical specifications and design requirements.
  


• Troubleshoot and problem-solve: Identify and solve technical problems related to mechanical components and systems.
  


• Perform design analysis: Use analytical tools to assess the performance, reliability, and safety of mechanical designs.
  

Requirements

• Proficient in CAD software: Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Fusion 360.
  


• Familiarity with engineering standards: Knowledge of engineering standards, such as ASME, ASTM, and ISO, and regulatory requirements.
  


• Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and solve technical problems related to mechanical components and systems.
  


• Experience with prototyping and testing: Experience with prototyping and testing mechanical components and systems.
  


• Skilled in mechanical analysis: tolerance analysis (GD&T), structural analysis, welding processes.
  


• Understanding of manufacturing processes, assembly, material knowledge, and engineering fundamentals.
  

• Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years of experience.
  


• Solid works/ Autodesk Inventor and certification is preferred.
  


• Excellent working knowledge of sheet metal design and weld fabrication processes, along with knowledge of assembly and welding procedures.
