Mechanical Designer (SolidWorks)

• Design and develop sheet metal components and assemblies using SolidWorks.
  

• Create complex surface models for molded and aesthetically demanding parts.
  

• Handle and optimize large assemblies to ensure smooth performance and design integrity.
  

• Generate detailed 2D drawings, including GD&T, welding symbols, and material specs.
  

• Apply design for manufacturability (DFM) principles and collaborate with production teams.
  

• Conduct interference checks, tolerance stack-ups, and assembly validation.
  

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to support prototyping, testing, and modifications.
  

• Manage design revisions using SolidWorks PDM or similar systems.
  

• Ensure designs comply with engineering standards, quality benchmarks, and customer requirements.
