Position: Mechanical Fitter (Sponge Iron Unit)

Company Overview:
Our client operates an integrated steel plant in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh.

Position Summary:
The Mechanical Fitter in the Sponge Iron Unit is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment to ensure smooth production operations. The role requires strong technical expertise and the ability to work effectively in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair equipment like crushers, conveyors, and pumps
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues to minimize downtime
• Adhere to safety protocols to ensure workplace safety
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
• Collaborate with team members to improve processes

Qualifications and Skills:

• ITI or equivalent in Mechanical Fitter
• At least 3+ years of relevant industrial experience, preferably in steel plants
• Proficient in reading technical manuals and drawings
• Physically fit, with strong problem-solving skills
• Effective team player with excellent communication abilities
• Flexibility to work extended hours when necessary
