We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical HVAC Systems Engineer to lead the planning, calculation, and technical development of HVAC solutions across industrial, commercial, and institutional projects. This role requires strong analytical capability, practical system knowledge, and hands-on experience in translating engineering concepts into cost-effective and execution-ready designs.
The ideal candidate will bring expertise in load analysis, airflow engineering, duct design, and system costing, while working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure technically sound and commercially viable HVAC solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Thermal Load Analysis & System Planning
Conduct detailed heat load assessments for diverse project environments.
Perform tonnage calculations, airflow (CFM) estimation, and duct sizing as per design standards.
Analyze psychrometric data to determine system efficiency and equipment suitability.
Evaluate site conditions to recommend optimized HVAC configurations.
HVAC Layout & Engineering Documentation
Develop detailed system layouts, duct routing plans, and equipment positioning drawings using AutoCAD.
Design air distribution systems ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency.
Select appropriate equipment including AHUs, air washers, ductable cooling systems, and multi-stage cooling setups.
Prepare technical documentation for client review and project execution.
Cost Estimation & Commercial Support
Prepare comprehensive Bill of Quantities (BOQ) aligned with design specifications.
Develop accurate cost estimations and technical quotations based on project scope.
Support sales and project teams with technical inputs during tendering and proposal stages.
Assist in preparing technical submittals and responding to design-related clarifications.
Project Coordination & Technical Interface
Collaborate with sales, execution, and procurement teams to ensure design feasibility and budget alignment.
Engage with clients, consultants, and contractors to understand project needs and address technical queries.
Ensure adherence to engineering standards, safety norms, and project timelines.
Candidate Profile
Educational Qualification
Diploma / BE /
B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Required Skills & Expertise
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for HVAC drafting and system layout preparation.
Practical experience in HVAC system design and engineering calculations.
In-depth understanding of heat load calculations, airflow management, and ducting principles.
Familiarity with psychrometric analysis and cooling system selection.
Experience preparing BOQs and cost-based technical quotations.
Sound knowledge of HVAC components such as AHUs, air washers, ductable air coolers, and two-stage cooling systems.
