Role Description

As a Garment Merchandiser, you will play a crucial role in managing the entire life cycle of garment production and export. You will be responsible for ensuring the seamless coordination of orders, from concept to delivery, and maintaining strong relationships with clients. Key Responsibilities:

ORDER MANAGEMENT :

· Receive and process garment export orders from international clients & A & B team.

· Collaborate with design and production teams to plan and execute the manufacturing process.

· Ensure that orders are completed on time and meet quality standards.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT :

· Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and preferences.

· Participate in sourcing and product development discussions, including design, fabric selection, and sample creation.

· Oversee the creation of product samples, ensuring they align with client expectations.

· Submit fit samples in a timely manner for client approval.

COSTING AND PRICING :

· Calculate the cost of production, including materials, labor, and overhead.

· Determine competitive pricing strategies while considering market trends and client budgets.

· Negotiate pricing and terms with clients to secure profitable contracts.

Quality Assurance :

· Implement and maintain quality control processes to meet international standards. Meet clients AQL levels specified.

· Conduct regular inspections to ensure that garments meet quality specifications.

· Address and resolve any quality-related issues in a timely manner.

LOGISTICS AND SHIPPING :

· Coordinate logistics for export shipments, including booking cargo, managing shipping documentation, and customs clearance.

· Ensure on-time and cost-effective delivery to international destinations.

· Track and monitor shipments to keep clients informed of delivery status.

CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT :

· Maintain regular communication with international clients to provide updates on orders, address inquiries, and build strong relationships.

· Must have experience handling buyer’s / shipping portals · Anticipate and exceed client expectations to ensure long-term partnerships.

TIME AND ACTION (T&A) MANAGEMENT :

· Maintain a comprehensive T&A calendar from the sample stage through order completion.

· Ensure that all milestones and deadlines are met to achieve on-time delivery.

MARKET ANALYSIS :

· Stay updated on global fashion trends, market demands, and competitor activities.

· Provide insights and recommendations for product development and market strategies.

Qualifications:-

· Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Engineering, or a related field.

· Proven 4-5 years’ experience as a Garment Merchandiser in the apparel export industry.

· Strong knowledge of garment production processes, textiles, and quality standards.

· Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and garment merchandising software.

· Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

· Fluency in English
