Merchandising Head

5-10 years of experience in (Prior Multi-brand, Multi-category experience will be preferred)

1. Assortment Planning & Product Selection

· Identify product mix based on store format, seasonality, and customer preferences

· Collaborate with suppliers and category heads to finalize merchandise line-up

· Ensure SKU rationalization and avoid duplication across categories

2. Inventory Management

· Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of fast-moving items

· Coordinate with store managers to prevent overstocking or stockouts

· Track aging inventory and plan markdowns or clearance strategies

3. Vendor Coordination & Purchase Planning

· Liaise with vendors and suppliers to negotiate rates, lead times, and delivery schedules

· Raise purchase orders in coordination with the procurement team

· Ensure timely deliveries and resolve discrepancies in quality or quantity

4. Visual Merchandising Support

· Provide guidance to stores on layout, display standards, and seasonal campaigns

· Work with the marketing team for in-store promotions and visual appeal

· Monitor planogram adherence and branding execution

5. Sales Analysis & Reporting

· Track category-wise and product-wise sales performance

· Analyze data to identify trends, customer buying behavior, and stock movement

· Provide inputs to improve sell-through rates and profitability

6. Pricing & Promotions

· Suggest pricing strategies based on cost, competition, and perceived value

· Recommend promotional offers in collaboration with marketing and operations

· Monitor the impact of discounts and offers on margins and sales

7. New Product Introduction

· Evaluate new products for potential introduction based on market demand

· Plan pilot roll-outs and evaluate success before scaling to multiple stores
