Job Role & Responsibilities

• Role:  


• To design and develop PDC dies for HPDC, LPDC & GDC for automotive components while ensuring manufacturability, quality & cost optimization.

• Prepare 2D drawings and 3D models as per design requirements.


• Work closely with manufacturing and production teams to ensure tool feasibility and functionality.


• Support tool trials, modifications, and troubleshooting during development stages.


• Ensure designs comply with quality standards, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.


• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for tool development and validation.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with R&D for manufacturability feedback in view of quality requirement, cost reduction & commonization etc.


• To design and develop PDC dies for HPDC, LPDC & GDC.


• Prepare 3D models & 2D drawings as per design requirements.


• Work closely with manufacturing and production teams to ensure tool feasibility and functionality.


• Support tool trials, modifications, and troubleshooting during development stages.


• Ensure designs comply with quality standards, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.


• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for tool development and validation.

Competency Requirements

Technical/ Functional:

• Strong experience in PDC dies & components.


• Proficiency in CAD software UG NX.


• Understanding of GD&T and automotive manufacturing standards.

Behavioral:

• Good problem-solving and communication skills.


• Good interpersonal skills to work in CFTs.

Specific expertise required for functional area:

• Knowledge of tool manufacturing processes and casting processes.
