About the role:
The MIS Officer will be responsible for the end-to-end management of data related to creche operations. This includes developing tracking systems, analyzing program performance (health, nutrition, education), and ensuring accurate reporting to donors and government bodies. The role requires frequent travel to field locations to ensure data quality and build the field staff's capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
1. System Development & Management
Develop, maintain, and upgrade the Management Information System (MIS) to track the operations, outreach, and impact of creche centers.
Support the digitization of physical records and ensure strict data security and confidentiality protocols are maintained.
Identify gaps in the current data flow and recommend system improvements for better operational efficiency.
2. Data Collection, Analysis & Reporting
Ensure timely data collection from various creche centers and rigorously verify the accuracy of the data received.
Analyze data trends related to child health, nutrition levels, educational progress, and overall program performance.
Generate periodic internal and external reports, including specific formats required by donors and government agencies.
Assist in the preparation of high-quality presentations and interactive dashboards to showcase program progress to stakeholders.
3. Training & Collaboration
Train caregivers and field staff on data collection methodologies, reporting formats, and proper documentation practices.
Liaise with different departments to streamline reporting processes.
Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to support program goals.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years in data management, MIS, or Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) roles, specifically in the development sector.
Sector Experience: Prior experience working with NGOs or social sector organizations is highly desirable.
Field Work: Willingness and ability to work in remote locations and travel frequently to creche centers.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Technical Proficiency: Excellent computing skills, specifically in MS Excel (Advanced), data visualization tools, and database management. Familiarity with digital data collection platforms.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex data, solve problems, and derive actionable insights.
Communication: Strong documentation and reporting abilities.
Language: Fluency in Hindi is required. Knowledge of local tribal dialects is a significant advantage.
Soft Skills: Ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams.
