Model -Based Development Engineer

At Cell Propulsion, we are accelerating the transition to zero-emission commercial transport by building fully integrated electric mobility ecosystems. As we develop next-gen electric powertrains and autonomous capabilities, we are looking for a talented Model-Based Development Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and validating control algorithms using model-based design tools like MATLAB/Simulink for real-time embedded systems. Your work will directly contribute to the performance, efficiency, and safety of our electric and autonomous vehicle platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, simulation, and validation of model-based control algorithms for vehicle subsystems.
  


• Develop and optimize models for powertrain, autonomous driving, energy management, and sensor fusion.
  


• Oversee model validation, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), and software-in-the-loop (SIL) testing.
  


• Work closely with embedded software teams to generate production-ready code from models.
  


• Implement functional safety and cybersecurity requirements in control strategies.
  


• Debug and optimize control algorithms for real-world vehicle performance.
  


• Document system models, architecture, and validation reports for compliance and traceability.
  

Requirements

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Automotive, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering.
  


• Minimum 2+ years of experience in model-based development and control system design.
  


• Expertise in MATLAB/Simulink, Stateflow, Embedded Coder, and real-time modeling.
  


• Strong knowledge of vehicle dynamics, powertrain modelling, and sensor fusion techniques.
  


• Experience with HIL/SIL/MIL testing, rapid prototyping, and control system validation.
