MPS Electrical Designer

Job Description\n\nThe MPS Electrical and/or Instrumentation (E\u0026I) Designer prepare and develop arrangement and detail conceptual, Key Indicators FEED, studies, and detail design drawings of high technical quality and professional consistent presentation ensuring clarity and ease of construction. Develop 3D models and ensure clash free with all other disciplines. Ensure design deliverables are completed and issued as per project specifications\n\nRoles and Responsibilities:\n\n * Become fully familiar with the Contract Scope of Work, specifications, schedule and all inter-discipline requirements; including identifying concerns as early as practicable and taking appropriate initiatives to address the issues.\n * Study and understand the E\u0026I design scope of work. Need to be conversant with Company and Client procedures, standards and applicable international codes and standards\n * Identify changes to scope and promptly raise change notification in the Change Management System and provide any necessary supporting documentation and estimates. Provide similar support for Variation Orders \u2022 Interface with all disciplines to develop clash free designs\n * Interface with other disciplines to obtain input for discipline designs and drawings\n * Liaise with other discipline support groups to ensure clearly defined interfaces, deliverables and schedules are met.\n * Document substantive communications (communications that result in significant decisions or assignment of actions), and forward copies to Discipline Lead Designer and Discipline Supervisor\n * Assist Discipline Lead in preparing estimates for proposals and job scope changes, including execution statements, work schedules, and man-hour requirements\n * Ability and willingness to travel, as required to fulfil project and business needs.\n * Attend project meetings, vendor/supplier meetings, engineering and design meetings as required\n * Set up and maintain the Discipline Master design drawing and document files, including final archiving\n * Prepare and review Discipline deliverables such as: o 3D model o Detailed design drawings o As-built drawings o MTO extraction and Preparation\n * To support the import and export of reference model to PDMS / E3D from vendor inputs.\n * Review of vendor drawings deliverables which are to be made in line with project requirements.\n * Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge in its discipline in accordance to applicable codes and standards.\n * Knowledge on AVEVA Electrical, AVEVA Instrumentation will be an added advantage.\n\n\n\nQualifications and Experience:\n\nEducation Qualification:\n\n * Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Diploma in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering or Diploma in Instrumentation and control Engineering.\n\n\n\nExperience:\n\n * 10+ years oil and gas Industry experience\n * Prior work experience in the design of Oil \u0026 Gas production facilities, skid-based design deliverables, site engineering support for construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities\n\n\n\nExpertise:\n\n * Prepare / review Electrical Design deliverables such as:\n * 3D model E\u0026I scopes\n * One-line diagrams\n * Schematics\n * Interconnection and wiring diagrams\n * Block diagrams\n * Area classification drawings\n * Conduit and cable schedules Power layout drawings\n * Cable Tray layouts\n * Earthing and Lightning Protection layout drawings\n * Lighting layout drawings\n * Electrical cable tray drawings\n * Electrical Equipment layouts.\n * E\u0026I support drawings\n * Cable blocks diagram, cable \u0026 Junction Box schedule\n * Instrument Hook up (Pneumatic and Process) Diagram\n * Installation standards, Loop diagram\n * Fire \u0026 Gas Equipment Layout, PA system, MCT arrangements, etc.,\n * Thorough understanding of Interdisciplinary interfaces\n\n\n\nETO CAD Designer\n
