Music Teacher

Job Summary:
Kanakia International School, CBSE – Chembur, is seeking a passionate and creative Music Teacher to inspire students through vocal and instrumental music. The teacher will foster musical appreciation, creativity, and confidence while preparing students for school performances, competitions, and cultural events in a holistic learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging music lessons for students across different grade levels.


• Teach vocal music and basic instrumental skills.


• Develop students' rhythm, melody, pitch, and performance techniques.


• Organize and conduct choir, assemblies, annual functions, and cultural events.


• Prepare students for inter-school competitions and performances.


• Encourage creativity, teamwork, and confidence through music activities.


• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.


• Maintain music resources and ensure proper care of instruments.


• Collaborate with teachers and school leadership to integrate music into school activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Music (B.Mus/M.Mus) or equivalent.


• B.Ed. is preferred.


• Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience in a CBSE/ICSE/International school.


• Strong vocal and/or instrumental skills.


• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.


• Ability to engage students through innovative and interactive teaching methods.
