Job Overview

We are looking for an energetic and skilled Instrumental Music Teacher to lead our school's instrumental music program. The ideal candidate will teach students across primary and middle school grades, introducing them to rhythm, melody, and musical theory. You will prepare students for school assemblies, annual concerts, and inter-school competitions while instilling a lasting appreciation for music.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  

  Teach practical playing skills across at least 2 to 3 musical instruments (such as Keyboard/Piano, Guitar, Drums, or Violin).

  
  


• 
  

  Plan and deliver engaging music lessons in line with the CBSE holistic development framework.

  
  


• 
  

  Train and direct the school band/orchestra for morning assemblies, Annual Day, Independence Day, and other school events.

  
  


• 
  

  Teach foundational music theory, including reading basic sheet music, notation, timing, and rhythm.

  
  


• 
  

  Identify and nurture student musical talent for inter-school competitions and grade-level performances.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain, tune, and safely manage school instruments and the music room inventory.

  
  


• 
  

  Assess and document student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents during PTMs.

  
  

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 
  

  Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience teaching instrumental music in a recognized school (CBSE background preferred).

  
  


• 
  

  Multi-Instrument Proficiency: Must be proficient in playing and teaching at least 2 to 3 instruments (e.g., Keyboard, Acoustic/Lead Guitar, Drums, Violin, or Indian Percussion/Flute).

  
  


• 
  

  Education: Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Music (or recognized music certifications such as Trinity College London, ABRSM, Prayag Sangeet Samiti, or equivalent). A general Bachelor’s degree is required.

  Communication: Strong communication skills in English to interact smoothly with students, parents, and staff.
