National Manager - Credit Control & Monitoring - Gold Loan - Mumbai - Lodha (I-Think Techno Campus)

Job Purpose

To lead and strengthen the Credit Control & Monitoring framework for the Gold Loan business across the country by ensuring robust risk governance, valuation controls, portfolio monitoring, audit compliance, fraud prevention, operational excellence, and regulatory adherence. The role will be responsible for driving a scalable and efficient credit monitoring ecosystem that supports business growth while maintaining superior asset quality and risk discipline.

Key Responsibilities

Credit Control & Risk Monitoring

• Establish and oversee the Credit Control & Monitoring framework for the Gold Loan portfolio.


• Monitor portfolio health, risk indicators, exception reporting, and early warning signals.


• Drive initiatives to strengthen underwriting controls, valuation governance, and credit discipline.


• Review deviations, policy exceptions, and operational lapses, ensuring timely corrective actions.


• Develop and implement preventive controls to mitigate fraud, operational, and reputational risks.

Gold Loan Valuation Governance

• Manage the end-to-end governance framework for gold valuers across the network.


• Oversee empanelment, onboarding, training, certification, performance management, and periodic audits of valuers.


• Ensure valuation practices remain aligned with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.


• Monitor valuation quality, discrepancies, fraud indicators, and control breaches.


• Build and maintain a scalable valuer network to support business expansion.

Portfolio Monitoring & Analytics

• Design and manage MIS dashboards covering portfolio performance, valuation quality, audit observations, compliance metrics, and operational productivity.


• Analyze risk trends and recommend strategic interventions to improve portfolio quality.


• Present insights and recommendations to senior management through periodic reviews.


• Drive data-driven decision-making using analytics and performance scorecards.

Compliance, Audit & Regulatory Management

• Ensure adherence to RBI guidelines, internal policies, audit standards, and risk governance frameworks.


• Coordinate with Internal Audit, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Operations teams for audit preparedness and closure of observations.


• Maintain robust documentation and control processes to ensure regulatory readiness.


• Lead investigations into operational exceptions and valuation-related concerns.

Process Excellence & Digital Transformation

• Drive automation and digitization initiatives within credit monitoring and control functions.


• Standardize workflows, strengthen SOPs, and improve turnaround time across processes.


• Implement technology-led controls for enhanced monitoring, tracking, and reporting.


• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, accuracy, and scalability.

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with Business, Credit, Risk, Operations, Compliance, Legal, Technology, and Audit teams.


• Support strategic initiatives for business growth while ensuring adherence to risk controls.


• Act as the escalation point for critical valuation, audit, and portfolio-related issues.

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor regional and central credit control teams.


• Establish performance metrics and governance structures to drive accountability and excellence.


• Build a high-performance culture focused on risk awareness, compliance, and customer-centric operations.


• Conduct capability-building programs on credit monitoring, valuation standards, and fraud prevention.
