We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Manager – NDT Sales to lead the sales strategy and business growth for capital equipment within the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) domain. The ideal candidate will have 15–18 years of experience in technical sales, with strong exposure to selling high-value industrial inspection and testing equipment to sectors such as oil & gas, aerospace, power, automotive, infrastructure, and manufacturing.
This role requires a combination of technical understanding, consultative selling capability, and strong relationship management skills to drive revenue growth, expand market presence, and manage strategic accounts. The candidate will play a key role in identifying new opportunities, managing large capital equipment deals, and collaborating with technical and service teams to deliver value-driven solutions to customers.
Key Responsibilities
Lead sales initiatives for NDT capital equipment, driving revenue growth and market expansion across assigned regions or key accounts.
Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities within industries such as oil & gas, aerospace, manufacturing, power generation, railways, and heavy engineering.
Manage the complete sales lifecycle for high-value capital equipment—from opportunity identification and technical discussions to proposal development, negotiation, and closure.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, including plant heads, quality heads, procurement teams, and engineering leadership.
Provide consultative solutions to customers by understanding inspection requirements and recommending appropriate NDT technologies and equipment.
Develop strategic sales plans, market penetration strategies, and account growth plans for major clients.
Collaborate closely with application engineering, service, and product teams to ensure the successful deployment of equipment and customer satisfaction.
Lead product presentations, technical demonstrations, and customer workshops to showcase the value and capabilities of NDT solutions.
Prepare technical and commercial proposals, respond to tenders/RFPs, and manage complex negotiations for capital equipment deals.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in the NDT space to identify new opportunities and maintain competitive positioning.
Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline management, and performance reporting to senior leadership.
Mentor junior sales professionals and contribute to building a high-performing sales team where applicable.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Metallurgy, or related field). A postgraduate qualification in business management is an advantage.
15–18 years of experience in technical sales, with a strong focus on capital equipment sales in the NDT or industrial inspection domain.
Proven track record of managing and closing large-value equipment deals and long sales cycles.
Strong understanding of NDT technologies such as ultrasonic testing, radiography, eddy current testing, magnetic particle inspection, or related inspection systems.
Demonstrated experience working with EPC companies, manufacturing plants, inspection agencies, and industrial end-users.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage complex contracts and tender processes.
Willingness to travel extensively to meet customers, conduct demonstrations, and support business development initiatives.
