NetSuite Projects Consultant (WIP & Project Accounting)

Role Overview

We have an immediate requirement for an experienced NetSuite SuiteProjects Consultant with hands-on expertise in the NetSuite Work in Process (WIP) functionality used with Suite Projects. You will support the full project-to-revenue lifecycle (project accounting, costing, WIP, billing, time and expense, and revenue recognition), working directly with business stakeholders on configuration, troubleshooting, and process improvement. This is a hands-on functional role where you will own issues end to end, from requirement through UAT to production stability.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and support SuiteProjects, Project Management, and Project Accounting setups in NetSuite.


• Support and troubleshoot WIP processes used with SuiteProjects, ensuring accurate WIP balances, postings, and reconciliation with project financials.


• Manage project costing setup, including labor cost, expense allocation, and cost tracking at the project and task level.


• Configure and support project billing models such as time and materials, fixed fee, milestone, and charge-based billing.


• Support time and expense entry, approval workflows, and their downstream impact on billing and costing.


• Configure and validate revenue recognition rules, plans, and schedules for project-based revenue.


• Gather and document requirements from finance, project, and operations stakeholders, translating them into NetSuite configuration.


• Diagnose and resolve functional issues and production incidents, performing root-cause analysis and recommending fixes.


• Prepare test scenarios, support SIT and UAT, and coordinate defect resolution through to sign-off.


• Recommend process improvements and best practices across the project-to-cash cycle.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with NetSuite Suite Projects in implementation and/or support roles.


• Proven experience configuring and supporting SuiteProjects, Project Management, and Project Accounting.


• Hands-on familiarity with NetSuite WIP functionality as used with SuiteProjects.


• Solid understanding of project costing, WIP, project billing, time and expense, and revenue recognition and project financials.


• Strong NetSuite configuration and functional troubleshooting skills.


• Excellent client-facing communication and requirements-gathering skills.


• Experience supporting testing, UAT, and production issues.
