Network Manager (Data Center)

Key Responsibilities

• Multi\-Site/Multi\-Pod: Extensive, hands\-on experience designing and managing Cisco Multi\-Site and Nexus Dashboard Orchestrator (NDO) deployments.
  


• Protocols: Expert knowledge of the underlying technologies: VXLAN, BGP EVPN, and associated data plane forwarding within ACI.
  


• Security Integration: Proven experience with Cisco ISE integration, TrustSec, and implementing micro\-segmentation policies using ACI contracts.
  


• Automation: Mandatory proficiency in network automation using Python/Ansible specifically for interacting with the ACI REST API.
  


• L4\-L7 Services: Expert\-level knowledge of integrating physical and virtual L4\-L7 services via ACI service graphs (e.g., F5/Citrix Load Balancers).
  


• ADC Platforms: Expert\-level knowledge of at least one major enterprise ADC platform (F5, Citrix, or similar), including advanced modules like WAF, APM, and GSLB.
  


• Protocols: Mastery of Layer 4\-7 protocols, including TCP/IP, HTTP/2, SSL/TLS (ciphers, handshakes, certificate management), and advanced DNS.
  


• iRules/TCL: Mandatory expertise in writing, debugging, and optimizing complex iRules.
  


• F5 Modules: Expert\-level, hands\-on knowledge across LTM, GTM/DNS, ASM, and APM.
  


• Automation: Mandatory proficiency in Ansible, Terraform, and Python for scripting against the iControl REST API.
  


• Networking: Deep understanding of Layer 4\-7 protocols, BGP/dynamic routing, DNS, and advanced SSL/TLS offloading concepts.
  


• Ensure operational hygiene: proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, documentation, and compliance with ITIL processes.
  


• Oversee capacity planning, reporting, and disaster recovery for network infrastructure.
  

Escalation Management

• Act as the primary escalation point for critical network incidents and service disruptions.
  


• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring issues.
  


• Ensure timely resolution of escalated issues and communicate effectively with stakeholders during critical events.
  

Resource Hiring & Team Leadership

• Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and development of network engineers, administrators, and security experts.
  


• Ensure effective resource allocation and workforce planning to meet delivery demands.
  


• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the network team.
  

KPIs & Success Metrics

• Achieve and maintain PCSAT scores of 9+ for network services.
  


• Ensure SLA compliance (availability, incident response, resolution times) above 98%.
  


• Optimize cost of delivery through efficient resource utilization and automation.
  


• Track and report on network performance, security incidents, and service improvements.
  

Continual Service Improvement (CSI)

• Lead CSI initiatives: process enhancements, automation, adoption of new technologies (AIOps, orchestration, cloud platforms).
  


• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the network team.
  


• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurring issues.
  

Client Engagement

• Build and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  


• Ensure proactive communication and transparency in delivery performance, risks, and opportunities.
  


• Represent network delivery in executive forums and contribute to client success planning.
  

Requirements

• 15+ years in network delivery/operations, with hands\-on experience in Cisco, AWS & Azure network, Riverbed and other enterprise network technologies.
  


• Strong expertise in routing & switching (Cisco ACI, Cisco Wifi, Cisco Meraki, Cisco SDN, Cloud Networking, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VLANs), VPNs, load balancers, and network security concepts.
  


• Experience with network monitoring tools (Solarwinds, Zenoss), capacity planning, and reporting.
  


• Proven track record in managing network incidents, troubleshooting, and escalation management.
  


• Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management frameworks.
  


• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  


• Certifications: CCNP, CCIE, ITIL. Experience in managing delivery for regulated environments and compliance\-driven industries.
