*Responsibilities:*
- Conduct comprehensive neurological evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic neurological conditions.
- Interpret and analyze results from diagnostic tests including MRI, CT, EEG, EMG, and nerve conduction studies.
- Provide emergency neurological care, including rapid assessment and management of stroke, seizures, and acute spinal cord injuries.
- Perform specialized procedures such as lumbar punctures, nerve blocks, and intraoperative monitoring when required.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Stay current with the latest clinical guidelines, research, and advancements in neurology through continuous professional development.
- Participate in hospital -wide quality improvement programs and contribute to clinical audits and safety initiatives.
- Mentor and supervise junior doctors, residents, and medical students in clinical and academic settings.
- Contribute to research projects, publish findings in peer -reviewed journals, and present at medical conferences when applicable.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical records in compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.
*Requirements:*
- MBBS degree with postgraduate qualification in Neurology (DNB or MD in Neurology) from a recognized medical institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of post -qualification clinical experience in a hospital or tertiary care setting.
- Valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) and any required state medical council licenses.
- Proven experience in managing complex neurological cases, including stroke, epilepsy, movement disorders, and neuromuscular diseases.
- Proficiency in interpreting neuroimaging and neurophysiological studies (EEG, EMG, NCS).
- Strong diagnostic acumen, clinical decision -making skills, and patient communication abilities.
- Experience in managing critical neurological emergencies and working in high -pressure clinical environments.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and digital health tools.
- Commitment to evidence -based practice, lifelong learning, and professional ethics.
- Willingness to participate in on -call rotations and hospital committees as required.
