We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Performance Team Lead to oversee the performance engineering efforts for our web applications.

This role involves leading a team of performance engineers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring our web platforms deliver optimal speed, scalability, and reliability under varying loads.

What will your job look like?

• Lead and mentor a team of performance engineers focused on web application optimization.
• Define performance benchmarks, KPIs, and SLAs for web applications.
• Design and implement performance testing strategies (load, stress, endurance, spike).
• Analyze performance test results and identify bottlenecks across front-end, back-end, and infrastructure layers.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and QA teams to integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Recommend architectural and code-level improvements to enhance performance.
• Monitor production systems and proactively address performance issues.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in performance engineering.

All you need is...

• 7+ years of experience in performance engineering, with 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP, REST APIs).
• Expertise in performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, k6).
• Experience with APM tools (e.g., New Relic, Dynatrace, AppDynamics).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

🌟 Preferred Skills

• Experience with front-end performance optimization (Lighthouse, WebPageTest).
• Knowledge of database performance tuning (SQL and NoSQL).
• Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Certifications in performance testing or cloud technologies.
