NPD Head

About the Role

We are looking for a strong techno -managerial leader to
build and lead the Electronics NPD capability for a fast -growing appliance
manufacturing organization. The role will be responsible for developing
in -house electronics engineering capability across new product development,
circuit design, component engineering, troubleshooting, validation, and product
industrialization.

The ideal candidate should possess deep hands -on expertise
in electronics hardware development along with strong exposure to
appliance/consumer electronics product development environments.

This role will play a critical part in reducing external
design dependency and building scalable electronics platforms for future
product lines.

Key Responsibilities

Electronics New Product Development

• Lead
  end -to -end electronics product development from concept to
  commercialization.
  
• Drive
  development of control boards, power electronics, embedded systems,
  UI/control modules, and appliance electronics platforms.
  
• Ensure
  timely execution of multiple NPD programs across appliance categories.
  

Circuit Design & Technical Ownership

• Lead
  in -house circuit design and electronics architecture development.
  
• Review
  and approve schematic designs, PCB layouts, and component selection.
  
• Drive
  design optimization for performance, reliability, manufacturability, and
  cost.
  
• Work
  on analog, digital, power, and embedded electronics applications.
  

Component Engineering & Application Knowledge

• Build
  strong component -level engineering capability within the organization.
  
• Drive
  component selection, alternate sourcing, derating analysis, and lifecycle
  management.
  
• Evaluate
  semiconductor, passive, electromechanical, and power components for
  appliance applications.
  
• Support
  localization and cost optimization initiatives.
  

Troubleshooting & Failure Analysis

• Lead
  root cause analysis for product failures, field complaints, and
  manufacturing issues.
  
• Troubleshoot
  circuit -level and component -level failures.
  
• Resolve
  reliability, thermal, EMI/EMC, and power -related issues.
  
• Implement
  corrective and preventive actions to improve product robustness.
  

Product Validation & Reliability

• Define
  validation plans for electronics products and subsystems.
  
• Ensure
  compliance with regulatory, safety, EMI/EMC, and reliability standards.
  
• Lead
  testing activities including endurance, thermal, surge, ESD, and
  environmental testing.
  
• Drive
  warranty reduction and field reliability improvement initiatives.
  

Manufacturing & Vendor Integration

• Work
  closely with manufacturing, EMS partners, and vendors for successful
  product industrialization.
  
• Support
  pilot production, DFM/DFT implementation, and production debugging.
  
• Improve
  first -pass yield and reduce manufacturing defects.
  
• Develop
  strong vendor technical assessment and qualification processes.
  

Technology & Platform Development

• Develop
  scalable electronics platforms/modules across multiple appliance
  categories.
  
• Drive
  innovation in smart appliances, connected products, sensors, touch
  interfaces, and energy -efficient systems.
  
• Support
  future technology roadmap and platform standardization initiatives.
  

Team Building & Capability Development

• Build
  and mentor internal electronics engineering teams.
  
• Establish
  engineering processes, design standards, review mechanisms, and technical
  documentation systems.
  
• Develop
  a strong culture of engineering excellence and innovation.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education

• B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech
  in Electronics, Electrical, Embedded Systems, Instrumentation, or related
  disciplines.
  

Experience

• 12–20
  years of experience in Electronics R&D / Electronics NPD.
  
• Strong
  experience in appliance manufacturing, consumer durables, consumer
  electronics, or related industries.
  
• Hands -on
  exposure to circuit design, component engineering, troubleshooting, and
  product validation is mandatory.
  
• Experience
  in managing complete product development lifecycle.
  
• Strong
  understanding of manufacturing integration and product industrialization.
