NPI Engineer

What you’ll do:

•    This position will lead Eaton Crouse Hinds Chennai Project Management initiatives that include New Product Introduction/Site Transfer Project and Site Specific Business Projects Launch on time.

•    This Will be managed through PROLAUNCH tool. 

•    Responsible for Cross functional co-ordination and deliverance to the requirements.

•    Prepare plans for NPI projects and coordinate with all internal and external stakeholders.
•    Drive and report all assigned Product Engineering projects using tools such as Gantt, Project Status etc. 
•    Monitor status of all new products and ensure effective execution of projects according to project requirement. documentation to support production work instructions, flow charts, procedures, routings. 
•    Ensure Proto and Pilot build requirements are adhered and build reports are circulated to CFT.
•    Maintain and ensure availability of required equipment, tools, test equipment and proto/pilot build parts.
•    Monitor operations of product and evaluate designs and ensure adherence to all design and 
manufacture principles.
•    Actively participate in design reviews and provide input to manufacturing assembly activities.
•    Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing team to develop and implement Manufacturing Plan 
for NPI products.
•    BOM, Routing and Material Master data input to documentation team for SAP MM creation. 
•    Engineering Change Management actions with the documentation team and effective closure.
•    Analyze and recommend improvements to all production process and methods to facilitate cost reduction and 
quality improvement.
•    Work with the production Test department and Manufacturing department to develop new
            and improve existing tools used in the production for ease of process operation.
•    Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action responses of system failures during
            the qualification or manufacturing process.
 

Qualifications:

•    Bachelor degree in Engineering.
•    A minimum of 3-4 years Hands on working experience in Projects.
