Title : Software Quality Engineer III - Mobile Application Testing

Position Summary

We are seeking talented Quality Engineers who are passionate about delivering high-quality software and championing a culture of quality throughout the product development lifecycle. These individuals work closely with Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers to plan, build, and execute testing strategies that ensure technical solutions are effective, user-centric, and aligned with business goals. Key Areas of Responsibility

• Develop testing plans, frameworks, test cases, and test scripts
• Execute unit, automated, and manual tests and code reviews
• Document and track defects with clear reporting on severity and resolution status

Product Strategy, Vision, and Planning

• Participate in agile planning events by offering quality-focused insights during PI planning, sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives
• Work with Product Owners, Engineers, and Designers to define quality objectives, identify risks, and promote early testing practices
• Help define acceptance criteria and develop comprehensive test strategies including scope, environments, metrics, and reporting

Product Design and Development

• Collaborate with Engineers to ensure applications are testable and include effective logging, monitoring, and observability
• Create and execute test cases for smoke, integration, regression, and UAT testing
• Conduct manual and automated tests to validate functionality and identify edge cases and error handling issues
• Log, prioritize, and track bugs while working with Engineers on debugging and resolution
• Develop and maintain automated tests as part of CI/CD pipelines with DevOps support
• Apply best practices, engineering tools, and emerging technologies to enhance quality and delivery
• Contribute to process improvement and team testing workflows

Performance Measurement and Optimization

• Monitor quality metrics such as defect and change failure rates to identify improvement opportunities in testing and delivery processes

Required Skills/Experience

• BS degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 6+ years of experience in designing, documenting, and executing test plans.
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in testing for mobile space (Android and IOS both)
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience and good hands on any Mobile automation tool.
• Experience in automation frameworks such as Appium, Cypress, JMeter, JUnit, TestNG, etc.
• Knowledge of Java, REST APIs, Micro services.
• Strong debugging skills and be able to trace problems from logs.
• Experience integrating end-to-end tests with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with API and load testing
• Proficiency and ability to implement industry standard testing practices in an Agile Environment, including functional, usability, performance, scalability, boundary, hostile, regression and negative testing.
• Expert level knowledge of bug tracking tools and experience using them to document, analyze, and manage defects.
• In depth experience with software development lifecycle and release practices. 
• Experience interacting with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Software development teams.
• Good Communication Skills: Ability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively.
• Proficient in automation for mobile apps.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Test engineer should handle and understand Android and iOS Automation.
• Automate end-to-end test, integration test, smoke test, and user acceptance test.
• Prepare reusable functions which improve the robustness, re-usability, and maintainability of the test scripts.
• Debug the failed scripts, log the defects, and follow up on them.
• Integrate with CI/CD pipeline and keep track of daily running jobs.
• Collaborate, and communicate effectively and efficiently with developers in the team to achieve the highest quality code & product.
