Job Description - Officer - Medical Services

Responsibilities

Safety: To implement project Chetna guidelines at work to ensure safety culture. Overall accountability for safety compliance, conducts audits, reports incidents, and ensures corrective actions, Adheres to infection control and patient safety protocols, Follow posted safety instructions and report hazards. Contribution to overall project safety culture.


 


Accidental support: 



  • Medical support is available for all Adani employees and co-workers in case of any emergency. This includes: -

  • Ambulance readiness at the site.

  • Coordination with the nearest hospital for immediate admission if required.

  • Liaison with the doctor to ensure timely treatment.

  • Coverage for all employees, contractors, and visitors within the project premises, Support includes first aid, stabilization, and referral to external hospitals if required, Integration with project emergency response plan, Dedicated accident response team trained in first aid and CPR, Availability of ambulance services and tie ups with nearby hospitals, Emergency contact numbers displayed prominently across the site, Fully equipped Occupational Health Center with stretchers, oxygen cylinders, trauma kits, and defibrillators, 24/7 availability of medical staff (doctor/nurse/paramedic), Accident logbook maintained for incident tracking and reporting, Regular mock drills for accident response and evacuation, Employee awareness sessions on safe practices and emergency reporting.


 


Occupational Health Centre (OHC):



  • Maintain proper records of all medical activities and patient details.

  • Coordinate with the third-party medical agency for smooth operations and timely support.

  • Facilities include first aid, emergency response, routine health checkups, and wellness initiatives.

  • Procure medical equipment, first aid kits, and emergency response tools.

  • Establish protocols for medical emergencies and occupational injuries, Conduct baseline health assessments for employees.

  • Maintain medical records in compliance, organize health awareness sessions (e.g., Oral Health, stress management, hygiene, Typhoid, Dengue & CPR with AED Training).

  • Monthly reporting of health incidents, medical interventions, and preventive activities.

  • Number of medical cases handled Response time to emergencies, Ambulance and coordinate with the hospital for any emergency requirements during this period.

  • Also, maintain proper liaison with the doctor to handle any medical situations promptly.

  • Establish a new Occupational Health Center (OHC) to strengthen workplace health and safety infrastructure.

  • PME & Vertigo Test coverage for all employees and contractors as per project health policy.

  • Canteen & Pantry Inspection and Worker Hygiene-   Inspection of food storage, preparation, serving areas, and worker hygiene.

  • Ensure immediate medical transportation for employees, contractors, and visitors in case of accidents or health emergencies, Strengthen the Occupational Health Center’s emergency response capability, Comply with statutory occupational health and safety requirements, Ambulance services available 24/7 within project premises, Coverage includes accident victims, medical emergencies, and critical illness cases, Integration with external hospitals for advanced treatment and referrals, Stationed at the Occupational Health Center with trained driver and paramedic staff, Equipped with stretchers, oxygen supply, trauma kits, and basic life support systems, Regular inspection and maintenance to ensure readiness, Immediate dispatch upon accident or medical emergency report, Coordination with site emergency response team and OHC medical staff.

Qualifications

  • Education: D. Pharma & Rural Development(PHRN), DMLT

  • 2-5 yrs of experience
