### *Responsibilities*
- Perform cataract surgeries using advanced phacoemulsification (phaco) techniques with precision and safety.
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and diagnose a broad spectrum of ocular diseases, including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and refractive errors.
- Utilize state -of -the -art diagnostic equipment such as OCT, slit -lamp biomicroscopy, tonometry, and retinal imaging for accurate assessment and monitoring.
- Manage all outpatient department (OPD) procedures, including patient consultations, treatment planning, and follow -up care.
- Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely medical records in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Provide pre - and post -operative care for surgical patients, ensuring optimal recovery and minimizing complications.
- Collaborate with other medical specialists, nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver coordinated, holistic patient care.
- Stay current with advancements in ophthalmic surgery, clinical research, and evidence -based practices through continuous professional development.

### *Requirements*
- MBBS degree with postgraduate qualification in Ophthalmology (D.O. or DNB in Ophthalmology).
- Minimum of 1 year of post -qualification clinical experience in a hospital or specialty eye care setting.
- Proven expertise in performing phacoemulsification (phaco) cataract surgeries with demonstrated surgical proficiency and safety records.
- In -depth knowledge of clinical and diagnostic methodologies specific to ophthalmology, including advanced imaging and functional testing.
- Strong understanding of ocular anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex medical information clearly to patients and families.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team under time -sensitive conditions.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and digital diagnostic tools.
- Valid registration with the National Medical Council (NMC) and relevant state medical council.
- Willingness to participate in on -call duties and emergency ophthalmic care as required.
